Non-alcoholic Clausthaler launches national “Stay on course” Golf Sweepstakes NORWALK, Conn. (June 23, 2004) Binding Brauerei USA, makers of Clausthaler Non-Alcoholic Beer, officially launched their Stay on Course Sweepstakes, in which over a thousand prizes will be given away, including a trip to the luxurious Camelback Inn in Scottsdale, Arizona (www.camelbackinn.com). Sweepstakes entry forms will be distributed on neck hangers inside six-packs and cases of Clausthaler. The sweepstakes will be supported with key-market radio buys, and runs through December 31, 2004, with winners to be notified in early 2005. The Grand Prize will be a golf vacation for two at the Camelback Inn, home of the Marriott’s Camelback Golf Club, one of the finest golf experiences in the Southwest. Ten lucky second prizewinners will each receive a set of 15 Warrior Titanium golf clubs and a Clausthaler golf bag; 1,000 third prizewinners will receive Clausthaler Top-Flite golf balls. Consumers will be directed to the Clausthaler Web site – www.clausthalerusa.com – for further entry information, and facts about the popular NA. “The sweepstakes will build awareness for the virtues of drinking a low-calorie imported German beer with no alcohol to throw off a golfer’s game,” said Dilip Mehta, chief operating officer of BBUSA. “Even non-golfers will get the message that an NA with a full-flavored beer taste is the perfect all-around brew for any occasion.” Since its introduction in 1979, Clausthaler has become the world's most successful non-alcoholic brew, now available in over 50 countries. A 12-ounce bottle of Clausthaler has less than 90 calories, approximately 40 percent fewer calories than a full-strength beer. BBUSA, a subsidiary of Radeberger Gruppe AG in Frankfurt, was established in June 1999, and now imports and distributes Radeberger Premium Pilsner, Clausthaler Classic and Amber Non-Alcoholic, DAB Original and DAB Dark, and Henninger beers. The company also markets DAB Low Carb, one of the first low carbohydrate light beers imported to the U.S. by any major German brewer. It contains a modest 2.0 grams of carbohydrates per 12-ounce bottle, the lowest carbs of any beer on the market.
