CLAUSTHALER PUTS ON THE RITZ 2005 “Stay on Course” Sweepstakes Sends Winners to Ritz-Carlton NORWALK, Conn. (March 14, 2005) - Binding Brauerei USA, makers of Clausthaler Non-Alcoholic Beer, officially launched its second annual Stay on Course Sweepstakes, in which over 120 prizes will be given away, including a golf vacation for two to the luxury Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Amelia Island, Fla. (www.ritzcarlton.com). Sweepstakes entry forms will be distributed inside Clausthaler packaging through pack inserts and case cards. The sweepstakes will be supported with key market radio buys, and run from March 15 – December 31, 2005. Winners will be announced in early 2006 and recognized in Clausthaler’s quarterly newsletter and on its Web site, www.Clausthalerusa.com. “We are working to expand and tap into the consumers’ awareness that brews are like wine, there are major differences in quality and taste,” said David Deuser, Vice President of Sales for Binding. “Clausthaler, as a quality imported German NA, is made for the enjoyment of those with discriminating taste, just like the Ritz-Carlton. ” Deuser continues, “The continuation of this sweepstakes helps generate extra buzz for the brand at retail, while it reinforces how compatible Clausthaler is with the millions of beer drinkers who play the game of golf.” Sweepstakes participants may win a variety of prizes besides the Grand Prize vacation, including a set of 15 Warrior Titanium golf clubs and a Clausthaler bag, a Clausthaler putter, or an imprinted Clausthaler golf towel. Since its introduction in 1979, Clausthaler has become the world’s most successful non-alcoholic brew and is now available in over 50 countries. It has all the attributes of a premium-quality distinctive German beer – a refreshing crisp brew, rich in flavor and texture without losing any of its smoothness. Many consider Clausthaler’s taste so rich that it is indistinguishable from premium German beer. BBUSA, a subsidiary of Radeberger Gruppe AG in Frankfurt, was established in June 1999, and now imports and distributes Radeberger Premium Pilsner, Clausthaler Classic and Amber Non-Alcoholic, DAB Original and DAB Dark, and Henninger beers. The company also markets DAB Low Carb, one of the first low carbohydrate light beers imported to the U.S. by any major German brewer. It contains a modest 2.0 grams of carbohydrates per 12-ounce bottle, the lowest carb content of any beer on the market.
