| Whenever quality and taste are the criteria, Clausthaler has been in the forefront from the beginning. Germany's Number One non-alcoholic brew has been honored with numerous prizes and awards for taste and quality since its launch in the late 70s. As the first non-alcoholic brew brand, Clausthaler Classic received the Great Award of the DLG* in 1989 as did Clausthaler Extra Herb in 1997. German and international experts have been repeatedly convinced of Clausthaler's outstanding quality and taste. All the Clausthaler variants have taken top positions time after time at numerous European and international laboratory tests and taste tests. In 1998, "Clausthaler Extra Herb" was only non-alcoholic brew in the world to receive the coveted World Beer Gold Award, at the World Beer Cup in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. In 2000, Clausthaler Classic received the same honor in Milwaukee ("Beer City"), Wisconsin, USA. The latest successes were just last year, as three Clausthaler variants: Classic, Extra Herb, and Hefeweizen, all received DLG Gold Awards. Awards * The Deutsche Landwirtschaftsgesellschaft e.V. or DLG (German Agricultural Society) in Frankfurt am Main is one of the most important organizations when it comes to the testing and evaluation of foodstuffs. The society carries out Germany's strictest and most objective brew and beer trails, in which over 500 beer and brew brands are tested by brewing experts, industry officials, scientists and food safety assurance inspectors. This program has led to the establishment of and continuous further development of strict brewing industry standards over several decades.
